The Tyrell Burner and Monolith Lamp are made in collaboration CALIPER, an industrial design and fabrication studio operating out of Madrid, Spain.
From our MUSEUM of SCIENCE FICTION collection: A journey through time, preserving fragments of imagined futures.
The Tyrell Burner features a folded 2mm aluminium sheet structure housing a centralised combustion core, assembled with replicant-grade precision and vented through a vertical smoke channel.
The building’s interiors continue this temple-like aesthetic, drawing influence from Mesoamerican stepped pyramids with vast columns, warm natural light, and ceremonial spaces.
At its summit sits Dr. Eldon Tyrell. In what appears more like a throne room than an office, it reinforces his role as the god-like creator of the replicants.

The combination of ancient architecture with a futuristic megastructure, it suggests that while technology evolves, the structures of power remain largely unchanged. It stands as both a corporate HQ and a modern temple, making it one of science fiction’s most iconic pieces of architectural design.
The Monolith Lamp has a folded steel structural base supporting an encased LED core behind brushed acrylic emitting light laterally through vertical planes. An artefact of unknown origin.
One of the most iconic objects from science fiction, we wanted to find a way to transform the artefact into a functional object. Working with stainless steel and encased LED core behind bushed acrylic we developed a freestanding lamp.
TYCHO MONOLITH (TMA-1)
The Lunar Surface: Buried beneath the Moon’s Tycho crater for approximately four million years, the Tycho Magnetic Anomaly-1 is uncovered by human explorers. The moment sunlight touches its surface for the first time since its burial, it emits a deafening radio signal towards Jupiter, as if waiting for humanity to reach a predetermined stage of technological development before revealing the next step.
