"Dada Dada Dada, a roaring of tense colours, an interlacing of opposites and of all contradictions, grotesques, inconsistencies.
The third drop of AW20 'An Ending' is inspired by the avant-garde, satirical ethos of the early 20th century Dada movement. By rejecting reason and logic, Dadaists created a renaissance of style through deintellectualisation of bourgeois art. The capsule references key artists Guillaume Apollinaire, Marcel Duchamp, Francis Picabia and Man Ray.
Following recent efforts to become more sustainable, our cut & sew is now produced in Portugal, making use of locally sourced organic cottons, and packaged in recycled materials.
This includes the Fountain Pullover in Black and Poème Overshirts in Green and Natural. Also new are the Paix Trousers, featuring detailed embroidery referencing the visual poetry of Guillaume Apollinaire in Natural, Green and Black.
The capsule also reiterates key graphic aesthetics of the Dada movement via new print styles and features new colours Crystal Grey and Iceberg Green.
'An Ending' will continue to drop throughout the season.
